After a short drive around Peak Hill, we set off for Parkes. By the time we checked out the Tourist Info Office, it was looking like rain. The plan was to go to Condobalin via Bogan Gate and spend the night there. The next day we could check out the Ukes In The Paddoch. The rain, however had other ideas, so we needed a caravan park as the free camps would be a bit boggy. When we rang up Condobolin CP, they said we could squeeze you in but it might be a bit noisy as there is dog show on (300 plus). We did a drive past and had one look at the caravan park and decided to cancel. So we drove the extra 100k to West Wyalong and booked into a CP. It varied between heavy and drizling rain most of the way. There was a lot of roadworks close to West Wyalong. We stayed at the West Wyalong CP so we were able to have a walk through town. $31.50 per night.
